Gantry Powerlifting

The main focus of the Gantry Powerlifting program is strength.

Of the ten general physical skills as defined by CrossFit, strength transfers the most to all other modalities; endurance, stamina, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, accuracy, agility and balance will all improve with increased strength.

Powerlifting, like other forms of heavy resistance training, strengthens your skeleton and reduces your risk of injury in other sports activities.

Gantry Powerlifting uses the four major lifts: the squat, bench press, deadlift and press, to develop the body's major muscle groups of your legs, back and upper body. You will perform ancillary movements in combination with the four lifts week to week to reach your strength goals. Every workout builds on the previous workout with the goal of getting you stronger over time.

In every class you will benefit from one-on-one coaching along with the energy of a group-training atmosphere. The bottom line is if you show up and follow the program you will get stronger.
